Derek Clark performed at Miracle Hill’s 80th Anniversary Fundraising gala at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, S.C. Clark was a five year old boy when he found himself in foster care; he spent the next thirteen years of his life in the system. With intent to defy the odds, Clark is now an international speaker, writer and the famous “rapping Dad” who has become a social media hit.
“Not only is Derek a breath of fresh air in the rapping world because of the inspirational, motivational songs he creates with his children, but his personal story of overcoming childhood abuse and neglect is the type of story we see every day in the foster children, the homeless and the addicted served by Miracle Hill,” said Lynsie Crespo, Event Coordinator at Miracle Hill. The fundraising gala was a night full of dinner, entertainment and stories of those whose lives have been changed by Miracle Hill Ministries. For more information, visit www.miraclehill.org
